Global Manufacturers

Positioning

Global Manufacturers are the production end of carbon data. The platform provides Global Manufacturers across all jurisdictions with a unified channel for data entry, calculation, verification, and compliance, enabling them to transform raw emissions data into audit-grade Good Data within one working hour, stored in the Data Vault for Importers to access and regulators to review.

Module 1: Registration & Identity Management

Global Manufacturers must complete platform registration, submitting basic corporate information, facility lists, industry classification, and export destinations. The platform assigns a unique identifier linked to all of the Global Manufacturer's facilities, product lines, and emissions data, forming a complete corporate carbon identity profile. Identity information is verified and recorded on-chain, ensuring immutability and end-to-end traceability.

Design Principle Alignment : Good Data begins with trusted identity. The Global Manufacturer's unique identifier is the trust anchor for all of its carbon data.

Module 2: Facility-Level Emissions Data Collection

The platform guides Global Manufacturers through the entry of each production facility's direct emissions (Scope 1), energy indirect emissions (Scope 2), and relevant precursor emissions data, covering all CBAM commodity categories (steel, aluminium, cement, fertilisers, electricity, hydrogen). Data collection forms auto-adapt by industry, with embedded validation rules that flag missing fields and anomalous values in real time.

Design Principle Alignment : Data collection is the starting point of the entire Good Data chain. Through industry-adapted forms and real-time validation, the platform compresses Global Manufacturers' data entry time to the minimum, serving the One-Working-Hour objective.

Module 3: Methodology Selection & Emission Factor Matching

The platform offers multiple approved carbon accounting methodologies for Global Manufacturers to choose from, including measurement-based and calculation-based methods. The emission factor library covers officially published national values and industry defaults. The system automatically recommends the most suitable emission factors based on the Global Manufacturer's region and industry, while also allowing Global Manufacturers to upload their own verified measured data to achieve higher data quality ratings.

Design Principle Alignment : Methodological transparency is the prerequisite for data trustworthiness. The platform records not only emission values but also the methodology choices and emission factor sources behind them, enabling regulators and Importers to fully audit the logic of data generation.

Module 4: Carbon Footprint Calculation & Product Embedded Emissions

Based on facility-level emissions data and production volume data, the platform automatically calculates the Specific Embedded Emissions for each product category, generating product carbon footprint reports that meet CBAM requirements. The entire calculation process is fully documented, covering allocation rules, system boundaries, and heat-electricity conversion coefficients, ensuring calculations are reproducible and auditable.

Design Principle Alignment : Product embedded emissions are the core data point of CBAM compliance. The platform automates complex carbon footprint calculations, enabling Global Manufacturers to produce compliant data without deep carbon accounting expertise.

Module 5: Data Quality Tiering & Improvement Pathways

The platform assigns a quality rating to each data point, from lowest to highest: Default, Estimated, Measured, and Verified Measured. The system provides Global Manufacturers with clear data quality improvement pathway guidance, indicating the current rating and the conditions required to reach the next tier, incentivising Global Manufacturers to continuously improve data accuracy.

Design Principle Alignment : Good Data is not a single standard but a process of continuous improvement. The tiering system enables Global Manufacturers to understand where their data stands against global benchmarks and provides actionable directions for improvement.

Module 6: Third-Party Verification Integration

Global Manufacturers can directly commission accredited third-party verification bodies (Services Providers) within the platform to conduct independent verification of their emissions data. Upon completion, verified data is locked on the blockchain, its status updated to "Verified," and automatically synchronised to the compliance workbench of linked Importers.

Design Principle Alignment : Verification is the critical step in elevating data from "selfreported" to "trustworthy." The platform's built-in verification workflow eliminates the friction cost of Global Manufacturers searching for verification bodies offline, accelerating Good Data generation.

Module 7: Data Vault Storage & Sharing Authorisation

All verified emissions data is stored in the platform's Data Vault, accompanied by a complete data processing history, methodology records, and verification conclusions. Global Manufacturers can independently set data sharing permissions, determining which Importers and which regulators may access their data, with sharing scope configurable down to the product-line level.

Design Principle Alignment : The Data Vault is the ultimate destination of Good Data. Global Manufacturers retain data sovereignty, while the platform provides secure storage and granular authorisation mechanisms, striking a balance between data openness and privacy protection.

Module 8: Multi-Jurisdictional Compliance Support

The platform provides differentiated compliance guidance based on the Global Manufacturer's home-country carbon pricing policies and export-destination carbon border mechanism requirements. When a Global Manufacturer has already paid a carbon price in the country of origin, the platform assists in recording and generating a carbon-price-paid certificate for use by Importers in CBAM certificate deductions.

Design Principle Alignment : Global Manufacturers face not a single regulation but the overlay of multiple carbon pricing systems. Through the multi-jurisdictional compliance module, the platform enables Global Manufacturers to enter data once and satisfy compliance requirements across multiple destinations.

Module 9: AI-Powered Assistance

The AI Shen Zhu Engine runs across the Global Manufacturer's entire operational workflow: intelligently guiding data entry, automatically identifying data anomalies and gaps, recommending optimal methodologies and emission factors, estimating product embedded emissions, generating draft compliance reports, and providing multilingual regulatory interpretation.

Design Principle Alignment : AI is the technological foundation of the One-Working-Hour promise. Global Manufacturers need not become carbon accounting experts; AI embeds professional knowledge into every operational step, lowering the threshold for Good Data generation from "expert-level" to "universally accessible."
